Bandung Trip (An overview)

Assalamualaikum,

Title: Trip to Bandung 2013


Objective:
1) To shop for wedding preparation: doorgift,fabric for nikah,songket for sanding, family and bridemaids's attire and some laces.
2) To enjoy end of year gateway.

Problem statement:
1)Price increase in Malaysia starting 1st January 2014 including fabric and catering. Since the budget are limited, therefore have to buy fabric material which are high quality but at low price.
2)Too stressed!! have to go holiday for a while.ehehehe (alasan)

Methodology:
1)Buy a ticket flight on October 2013 at airasia.com. Only Air Asia provide flight from KL to Bandung with a lower price. Depart on 29th December 2013 and return on 1st January 2014 (4days). (Actually my girlfriends have booked early and they went for 7days but we are in same flight travelling back to Malaysia together. I'm travel alone to Bandung from KL. Took blue bird taxi from Airport to Pop Hotel Bandung and met them at their room).
2)Planned the tentative. 3days straight to Pasar Baru.haha heaven mehhh
3)On 29/12/13, 8am arrived at Bandung and went to Pop Hotel. Took about 10min from airport and Rp. 50k charged.
4) Went to Pasar Baru and Factory Outlet until 4pm for 3 days.
5) Back to Malaysia, 1/1/14.

Expected result:
1) Complete the list 'Must buy in Bandung'.
2) Happy and miss Bandung so much.hehe (over tau)

Result and Discussion:

Jakel sell border lace 1m for RM30 but in Bandung you can get RM28, 1meter consist 6 border lace double side! so cheap T_T and I buy french lace heavy beads within my budget although the french lace with heavy beads was far from what I listed. My songket was semi-palembang so still in my budget.hehe :) 

cannot buy this for door gift because it will exceed luggage. Fyi, I took 40kg!hahaha but I buy tasbih as a door gift :)

Telekungs and some tshirt for family and fiancee :)

You can get telekung in RM20++ and depends on material and design. But still you cant get the price in Malaysia. I buy 12 telekung for families and colleague.

yeah..our luggage. Luckily I'm not exceed luggage weight. have 7kg more. Drama happened at Air Asia counter because my friend had exceed luggage.so annoying ladies at counter and pakcik who insult us!erghhhh

Conclusion:

As a conclusion, I can say that I save a lot!! Objectives achieved! Celebrate new year 2014 at Bandung and give me a new perspective how they celebrate new year as well as I'm satisfied with my shopping's desire.haha so happy!! A good start for 2014 I guess ;)
